The contest starts on May 22, 2025.
It was the late Albert De Brabandere, former owner of our brewery, who gave this divine beer the name Petrus. A devout man but also a true bon vivant, he worried that his love for great beer and delicious food might endanger his place in heaven.
By dedicating this beer to Saint Peter – the gatekeeper of heaven, Petrus in Latin – he secured his ticket to the afterlife.
